We are pleased to share that a group of students and faculty members of the Department of Art and Design has won 1st and 2nd prize in 1st ever International Calligraphy and Miniature Illumination Workshop held on 8- 9 May 2023 organized by Institute of Home Sciences, FFNHS, University of Agriculture in collaboration with KHANA_E-FARHANG Lahore. Among 150 registered participants from all over Faisalabad, a group of 15 (12 students and 3 faculty members) participated from GCWUF. Mr. Barbod Yazdani, Mr.Muhamad Rahimi Ahd and M. Jan Bukhsh, the Irani instructors appriciated the work and ability of the Art and Design students from GCWUF. They also appriciated their teacher Ms Zain Manzoor specifically, for her efforts to make the students of Art and design GCWUF sound in calligraphy, involving traditional and modern techniques. It was an amazing aesthetic experience of mindful meditation through visual communication. Certificates were awarded to all the participants by Mr. Yazdani and Ashraf Heera.
